RIGA, Latvia — Dr. Kanans Visvanats, Founder of Zoar Limited, has been officially admitted as an Honorary Member of the Latvian Academy of Sciences (LZA). The honor recognizes his contributions to pharmaceutical research, development, and the manufacturing of oncology treatments aimed at improving healthcare accessibility in emerging markets.
As part of the recognition, Dr. Visvanats’s name was added to the commemorative plaque in the entrance lobby of the Academy of Sciences building in Riga.
Dr. Visvanats currently serves as a Council Member and Director at the Institute of Economics of the Latvian Academy of Sciences and previously received an Honorary Doctorate in Economics from the Senate. His work focuses on targeted, extract-based therapeutics and accessible pharmaceutical innovation, supported by 15 patents for anti-cancer and anti-malarial formulations.
